1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using StoryVerse ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Platform.

2. User Accounts

You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

Users may register as Readers (consume content) or upgrade to Authors (publish content). Authors must agree to the Creator Agreement before publishing.

3. Content Ownership & License

Creators retain 100% ownership of their intellectual property. By publishing on StoryVerse, you grant the Platform a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display, distribute, and promote your content on the Platform.

This license terminates when you remove your content from the Platform. StoryVerse does not claim ownership of any user-generated content.

4. Virtual Currency (Gems)

Gems are a virtual currency used for micro-transactions within the Platform. Gems have no real-world monetary value outside the Platform.

Gem purchases are non-refundable except as required by applicable law. The Platform reserves the right to modify Gem pricing and pack sizes.

Revenue from Gem-based transactions is split 70% to the Creator and 30% to the Platform.

5. Creator Payouts

Creators may request withdrawal of earned revenue once their balance exceeds ₹1,000. Payouts are processed within 3-5 business days via UPI or bank transfer.

Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) will be applied as per Indian Income Tax laws. Creators are responsible for reporting their earnings to relevant tax authorities.

6. Prohibited Content

  • Content that promotes violence, hatred, or discrimination
  • Illegal content or content depicting illegal activities
  • Copyright-infringing content (plagiarism)
  • Spam, misleading, or deceptive content
  • Sexually explicit content involving minors

7. DMCA & Copyright

If you believe your copyrighted work has been reproduced without authorization, please contact us at legal@storyverse.com with: (a) identification of the copyrighted work, (b) the URL of the infringing content, (c) your contact information, and (d) a statement of good faith.

8. Limitation of Liability

StoryVerse is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. The Platform shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service.

9. Modifications

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification.
